Victor Rodriguez

Victor Rodriguez, the youngest of nine siblings, immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of 10.  His family eventually settled at the Cabrillo Village farmworker community in Saticoy, where he grew up. Because of the positive impact the community had on his life, today he is a passionate advocate for affordable housing.

Victor joined the Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation’s Board of Directors in 2018 where he enjoys the important work of supporting its mission to provide comprehensive housing services and community economic development activities for individuals and families most lacking in opportunity in Ventura County. Even though he says he is “not a great dancer,” he will be dancing for Cabrillo in the Oxnard Salsa Festival’s Dancing ‘With Our Community Stars.’ He is excited to learn to dance Salsa while creating more exposure for Cabrillo’s mission of affordable housing for our lowest-income residents, such as farmworkers, veterans, seniors and people with disabilities.

Victor holds a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from the University of La Verne.  His career in human resources spans nearly 20 years, working with companies such as Monsanto, Reiter Affiliated Companies, and most recently as Puretec Industrial Water’s Director of Human Resources. His previous volunteer work includes serving on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity and the Workforce Investment Board of Ventura County.

Victor is currently residing in Camarillo with his lovely wife and two beautiful children.
